I launched Boom Town Foods in the south Texas oilfields at the end of January, 2014, but this update is not about our progress–I’ll publish a blog update over the Thanksgiving Holiday. This is about helping save one of the 3 AMAZING, ADORABLE, homeless dogs we rescued from roaming around the RV Parks in Karnes County…
In order to house the workers serving the oilfield boom, RV Parks sprung up across the Texas landscape. When we first arrived we were greeted by a pack of very friendly dogs… Turns out for every RV Park there seems to be another pack of homeless dogs. We fell in love with a black lab-mix & took Moxie home at the end of June.
Then in September, after my sister-in-law, Gail, saw this picture, she wanted Blondie & Salty (renamed Cagney & Lacey)… she convinced her husband, Tom, to take them & I was set to drive them back to CT in October.
Check out the quick video I put together about what happened to Cagney a week before I was set to drive her and her best buddy back to CT. Click this link to play the video–and it’ll take you to the Crowdfunding site I launched.
Please share with your social networks, family & friends. Thanks for helping out!
